whine whine whine
Sep. 20th, 2012 07:33 pmThis is going to be just a dumb blog post of me whining about not being able to draw because my wrist is not cooperating and i hope it stops hurting tomorrow because i REALLY, REALLY, REALLY WANT TO DRAW or just do some WORK with my hands, i've been holding back on drawing for days and it seems to get better in the morning but then i go to class and do the standard amount of writing and typing and at the end of the day it starts hurting again akdshadkh it's not the first time this has happened but i usually ignore it till it goes away in a few days. This time it's hanging around for a lot longer, maybe it's because i've been writing a lot more than i used to (as in, actually making study notes like a proper student for a change) and drawing more often too, i don't think the wrist likes that very much.
I wish i was smarter back in high school and didn't push myself to draw comics nonstop for days which led to my wrists (plural, because i then tried surviving with my left hand and as i am almost exclusively right-handed i ended up hurting the left wrist too) dying for a week, that probably paved the way for carpal tunnel. I can't carry moderately heavy things and my hands shake horribly, both of which made me a shitty waitress at my old job and frustrated my colleagues, haha.... Me typing up this ranty thing isn't helping my wrist, and i'm sitting in a slouch, so i think i may shrivel up and die in my 40s. Come to think of it trying to exercise with 3kg dumbbells right off the bat was a stupid idea too.
Believe it or not as frustrated as i am about not being able to draw during the rare occasion that i feel inspired, i'm more concerned about fucking assignments, but i'm scared that even poking at the laptop will slow down recovery so i can't even work on that. And i just know that by the time i recover, i'd have lost all motivation to draw.
Gonna go e-shopping for some wrist support stuff and padded mouse pads... maybe i can get one of those horrendous giant cleavage ones like the Bleach merchandise.
